s.a.4737/h.r.6022 – temporarily stops sending oil to the reserves, and gives it back to the market increasing supply and lowering the cost. i’m pretty sure all the ’08 candidates are aware of supply and demand, yes? so why all the BS about doing away with gas tax – and the revenue it provides – to protect oil company profits? pssshaw – anyone wanna trade a 1994 mercedes for a diesel one?anyway, this is a decent bill, and the amendment is also good – it extends and refines the protection of a national flood insurance program so we have some kind of last resort after the next hurricane like katrina. the amendment was passed 97 to 1, and support for the bill is bipartisan as well. remember how that works? that bipartisan thing? the thing where we work together to strengthen our infrastructure? yeah…. so get it done????
