about the post below:

June 12th, 2008

watch david letterman not try to be funny but actually call it like it is on the subject of da prezadent. why can’t we get any other media (besides the obvious few) to speak bluntly like this? thank you, mr. letterman!

sigh…beautiful…

for detainees held in offshore prison. will the bush administration listen?

from slate magazine…

and MSNBC…

and British Parliament is up in arms over the same issue… in the house of commons anyway…

more legal news from phoenix that gives me more reason to believe that cops should have to have law degrees and anti-violence training…

and introducing S.R. #3077 the day after you were nominated. This bill is an answer to the halliburton accounting of the last 8 years. please ask your representatives to support it. www.senate.gov

and also for ending raids on medical marijuana suppliers in states with laws protecting them. ahem… marijuana policy project yo!other useful bills -senate joint resolution 39 – A joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to abolish the electoral college and to provide for the direct popular election of the President and Vice President of the United States. i mean – it’s about damn time, yes?

senate res 3099 – To prohibit the use of funds by the Department of Defense for propaganda purposes within the United States not otherwise specifically authorized by law.BECAUSE IT ISN’T ALREADY GENGERAL PRACTICE IN 2008! i can’t even tell you how much i detest the ‘call of duty’ esque video games that promise you a $20,000 sign on bonus that have been in use for the last 10 years as a recruitment tool.senate res 3100 – Voting Opportunities and Integrity in the Conduct of Elections Act of 2008does anyone have more information on this one? it’s pretty comprehensive and therefore hard to digest because i don’t speak ‘lawyer’ yet. so give me a synopsis please. will this do away with voting machine salesmen being on election boards? what will it mean for our state?

from a boeing news release:

“Solid-state lasers will revolutionize the battlefield by giving the warfighter an ultra-precision engagement capability that can dramatically reduce collateral damage”, says Scott Fancher (vice president, general manager, boeing missile defense systems).

physicists from the university of st. andrews, scotland, have used casimir force in reverse to enable repulsion instead of attraction. Prof Ulf Leonhardt and Dr Thomas Philbin use this effect with a special type of lens to LEVITATE STUFF! these two physicists seem to be bringing us quickly into the far out sci-fi future: they have also figure out how an invisibilty cloak could be possible. just what we need – an invisible levitating army with rayguns!

i guess i’ll just burn my nerf car blueprints…a company from san francisco, XP vehicles, is developing a series of inflatable vehicles made of the same stuff the mars rover used to bounce down safely with. you’ll be able to either purchase one at a traditional car dealership or have it sent to you in two large boxes and assemble it yourself in under to hours. they claim you could drive it off of a cliff. it will float during a flood. it will only be about $10,000. it will even give you relationship advice. just kidding on that one. the cars won’t be available until at least 2010 and they seem to be infinitely customizable. like a pizza.

apparently she has this routine about mexican airplane food and shia labouf shitting his karate uniform. break a leg bitch!
